Vulcanizing and sidewall cuts

Puncture and cut repair with hot and cold vulcanizing. We take on sidewall cuts when others only suggest a new tyre.

We seal a tread puncture with a plug-patch or a patch from inside the tyre, not a string plug from outside. The repair stays airtight and holds at speed.

Sidewall cuts are harder: the sidewall flexes all the time, so we restore them with hot vulcanizing and a cord patch. It's a rare service and often saves an expensive tyre.

We assess the damage before any repair. If a tyre is unsafe to fix, we tell you straight.

FAQ

Questions and answers

01

Can a sidewall cut be repaired?

Often yes, if the cord damage is within safe limits. We confirm after inspection.

02

Is hot vulcanizing better than cold?

Hot vulcanizing is stronger for large and sidewall damage. Cold works for small tread punctures.

03

How much does vulcanizing cost?

It depends on the size and location of the damage. Ask us by phone or after inspection.
